A paper card is useful for a few seconds, then it sits in a drawer, gets typed into a phone, or disappears. Countee verified employee cards turn that exchange into a live, saveable contact that also proves the employee is connected with the company.

Our commitment

We are building Countee so companies can reduce unnecessary paper, avoid repetitive admin, and make everyday business processes easier to verify. Verified employee cards are one small but visible step: fewer printed cards, fewer reprints, fewer mistyped phone numbers, and a cleaner first impression.

What changes in practice

Before

Print 250 cards, wait for delivery, hand them out, hope people keep them, then reprint when a title or phone number changes.

With Countee

Add a verified card to Apple Wallet, show the QR code, let the other person save a contact instantly, and update the details online whenever needed.

A realistic carbon view

Exact footprints vary by paper stock, ink, coating, finishing, printer energy, packaging, delivery route and end-of-life. A life-cycle assessment of paper and software-based business cards found that the result depends on scale: paper can look competitive at very small scale, while digital systems perform better in larger real-world use. Other print-sector estimates put simple printed business cards in the low single-digit grams of CO2e per card, with higher estimates once finishing, transport and disposal are counted.

These figures are illustrative, not a formal Countee carbon audit. They do not include every avoided courier trip, box of obsolete cards, or the staff time spent typing details from paper into phones and CRMs.

We draw on published life-cycle work comparing paper and software-based business cards, carbon-footprint studies for office paper, and print-industry estimates that include paper, ink, finishing, transport and end-of-life. Countee will refine its own estimates as real usage data grows.
